Abstract
Reflection and transmission coefficients are calculated for the propagation of stress-waves through a system of porous layers separating two porous half-spaces. In order to facilitate computations attention is confined to normally incident disturbances. For the technically important case of materials having small pore size compact recursion formulas are deduced and from these several interesting phenomena can be predicted.
