Smoothing travel-time tables

E. P. ARNOLD*

INTERNATIONAL SEISMOLOGICAL RESEARCH CENTRE, EDINBURGH

Abstract

Various techniques for smoothing travel-time tables are discussed and a derivation of the most useful of these, the Method of Summary Values, is given. The results of applying this technique to the new travel times is given and discussed.
